Mural for the first Austrian Female Street Art Festival “Hands Off The Wall” in Vienna, Austria.
2,5 x 3m.
The idea behind the artwork goes back to a special Austrian saying called “Schubladendenken” which can be translated as stereotyped thinking or more literary “thinking in boxes”. The artwork is meant to criticize this mentality of generalization of certain groups of people. Although we are all touched and formed by cultures each human being is unique in their way of living and should be treated like this. We can not make assumptions of a person because of their nationality, their job, their sex, their skin color or any other thing that leads us to develop prejudices about a certain group of human beings. I believe in the individuality of everyone no matter where you come from and what you look like. Let’s stop putting people into boxes. Nein zum Schubladen-Denken!
